Our Ontario (or prime) grade real American Black Walnut retains plenty of open grained character but, since the very light coloured sapwood is excluded from the grade, the colour variation is less pronounced than in our Montreal board. No black knots are allowed either which gives the finished floor an overall calmer, more sophisticated appearance.

Floor Finising
We finish our American Black Walnut flooring by hand to order in our Shropshire workshop. Our finishes are beautiful and heard wearing with the benefit that you can select your preferred level of sheen at time of order.
This floor is available with our hand finished Hardwax Oil or a 2 pack Commercial Lacquer.

Professional Installation
For clients looking for a complete turn-key installation service we have a team of professional fitters covering most of the UK and Ireland. Please contact the sales team to arrange for a site survey and quotation.
If you prefer not to use our installation service then we can provide details fitting guidelines for your own fitters use. For best results we always recommend the use of an experienced wood floor fitter who can supply you with reference sites and happy customers!
Volume Calculation
We recommend that you allow an additional 5% on top of your total m2 when purchasing a wooden floor. This will provide for any cutting / grading waste during fitting.
